THERE BE DRAGONS IN AFRICA

The title refers to the dragon in the quilt and was inspired by African traditional art work. All the fabric was hand dyed and hand screened by AMAFU from South Africa. This quilt is now in a private collection. Posted by Picasa

A fascinating quilt which from the wording I take it you did not actually make yourself - however it's very striking, and to me contains a number of symbols and patterns which you could use to explore, develop, and incorporate into your own repertorie of designs or symbols for use in actual quilting ...and, I htink the lbog is off to a good start - I am a reader ahd ope for more - the dialogue which develops is fun.
